Brandon Melendez Biography:
Born on March 24, 1983, Brandon “The Murderer” Melendez is a mixed martial artist from Bountiful City, Utah. His MMA statistics include 7 wins (4 technical knockouts, 2 submissions and 1 decision) and 5 losses (1 technical knockout, 4 decisions). He stands at 5 feet, 10 inches, and weighs 170 pounds. Melendez started competing as a grappler at the age of 18, and became a finalist at an eight man grappling competition with no jiu-jitsu training whatsoever. From that day forward, Melendez devoted his time to training in mixed martial arts, eventually receiving instruction from Jeremy Horn at Elite Performance in Salt Lake City, Utah. He and his wife, Monika, have two children, Alycia and Malakhai.
Although his grandmother is not too happy with the idea of her grandson fighting in the Octagon ring, Melendez is very eager to compete rigorously in SpikeTV’s reality series, The Ultimate Fighter 5.
