I love True Blood, but I hate the new poster promoting the upcoming fifth season.

Don't get me wrong, it's beautifully sparse and the tagline "Don't Cry. It's Back" is clever. And I appreciate the brilliance of using the fact that vampires cry blood. But I have an issue with eyes.

I don't like close-ups of eyeballs. I find them incredibly creepy. Some people hate clowns, others hate snakes, I hate eyeballs. Especially bloody eyeballs.

So while this new poster may make me freak the freak out, I'm willing to overlook it because it means we're a little over a month away from new episodes.



True Blood returns for season 5 on Sunday, June 10 at 9pm on HBO.
