Tonight, season two of
True Beauty comes to a close. Three pretty-faced contestants remain to answer the question Snow White's wicked stepmother (and producer Tyra Banks) are famous for lamenting: who is the fairest of them all?
The show's premise (for those of you just tuning in) is a competition to determine which contestant exhibits the most outer
and inner beauty; the catch: the contestants don't know about the whole "inner beauty" bit and believe they're competing on looks alone. Cue the bad behavior. Whoever proves to be the most saintly (as determined by hidden camera challenges) takes home $100,000 and a spot in
People Magazine's 100 Most Beautiful People issue.
Here are the final three on tonight's chopping block:
Erika Othen
This 25-year-old effervescent singer/songwriter/cocktail waitress hails from
Long
Island and looks like Barbie's older, vampier sister. Erika and her 3,768 pairs of shoes have never
seen an elimination round, making her the most likely contestant (in
this writer's opinion) to win the grand prize.
Craig FranczykThis 29-year-old Canadian retail manager has many loves: a love of himself, a love of his love for himself, and a love of his two kids who--as direct result of his first two loves--take third place on this list. Craig has only one win under his belt and has failed five challenges, meaning he'll probably lose the competition and cry pretty tears over it. Here's hoping his mirror reflection will provide comfort during his darkest hour.
Taylor Bills
As a former professional baseball player, this 6'5 contestant from
California prides himself on being the life of the party (read: the
drunk of the party) and has only ended up in the Bottom 2 once. We all know he has a potty
mouth--thanks to the episode when he cussed out a focus group's critique
of him--but if he can act like the good Mormon he was raised to be, he may have a shot at beating Erika.
And now, the obligatory finale poll:
