FOX has delayed the second season of
Touch, pushing back the Kiefer Sutherland drama to January instead of the originally planned October 26 premiere. This marks the first change in the network's fall lineup. According to
Deadline.com,
Touch's Friday 8pm timeslot will now be taken over by
Kitchen Nightmares.
So far, FOX has not announced whether Touch will continue airing in the Friday 8pm slot when it returns next year or if it's going to take on a new slot. For now, you can meet the new characters for season 2.
Ayelet Zurer as Rosemary Mathis
TV Line reports that the
Angels and Demons actress will appear in the upcoming season as an architect with special talents, similar to David Mazouz's character Jake. She is also expected to share some scenes with Guillermo (Said Taghmaoui) in Barcelona.
Lukas Haas and Saxon Sharbino as New Series Regulars
Deadline.com has learned that Sharbino will be playing Amelia Robbins, the missing daughter of Lucy (Maria Bello) whom Martin and Jake met in the first season finale. Haas' character, on the other hand, will be after Jake as part of his work for Aster Corps.
Greg Ellis as Trevor Wilcox
According to
The Hollywood Reporter, the
Days of our Lives actor has joined the second season of
Touch for a multiple-episode arc. His character Trevor will appear as Martin's old war correspondent pal.
Said Taghmaoui as Series Regular, Adam Campbell and Ray Santiago in Recurring Roles
Lost actor Said Taghmaoui has officially joined the cast of
Touch as a series regular.
The Hollywood Reporter describes Taghmaoui's character, Guillermo Ortiz, as "a smart Jesuit priest-turned-killing machine."
Parenthood actor Adam Campbell is set to recur as Calvin's (Lukas Haas) business partner Tony Rigby. Meanwhile, Santiago has been booked as BreakWire's resident hacker named Reuben Santiago, who becomes friends with Jake.
John Boyd and Dileep Rao in Recurring Roles
Touch has also made room for
24 actor John Boyd and
Inception actor Dileep Rao, according to
The Hollywood Reporter. Boyd will appear in a recurring capacity as a clever math and algorithm researcher named Kase, who is Calvin's (Lukas Haas) close friend from college while Rao will play a rich and powerful shareholder at Aster Corp named Vikash Nayar.
