It's going to be a short and snappy week for The Young and the Restless
as CBS has preempted this Thursday's episode for a holiday program featuring Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. Nevertheless, the network will be airing a special compilation episode of the Clear Springs collapse on Friday, November 23.

Weeks after the Clear Springs explosion, some lives continue to be at risk. The Newman family gathers at the hospital to pray for the heavily pregnant Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle
), who was left comatose after being hit by a falling piece of rock during Clear Springs catastrophe.
After developing preeclampsia while in her coma, Victoria and her unborn child's life hang in the balance. When doctors inform JT Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill
) that the baby might not be able to survive outside the womb he realizes that there is a good chance that the child is his. By the end of the week both Victoria and her baby will be in dangerous waters and her parents, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott
) and Victor (Eric Braeden
), must now make a decision about whose life to save. Amidst Nikki and Victor's disagreement, the doctor informs the Newmans that a mediator will be assigned to Victoria's case.
While the Newmans remain in crisis, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford
), who is presently in prison, learns that her appeal has been granted, leading to a bittersweet reunion with Nick (Joshua Morrow
). Jana Hawkes (Emily O'Brien), who became cellmates with Phyllis after recovering from surgery on her brain tumor, will be visited by Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart
) on Thanksgiving with a proposal of a lifetime.
Another spoiler for The Young and the Restless
involves Lily Winters (Christel Khalil
) and Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard
). Lily invites Cane to Thanksgiving but when the preparations go awry, Lily cancels dinner but finds comfort from an unexpected source.
