Gloria Fisher Abbott is played by Judith Chapman on the soap opera, The Young and the Restless. Gloria is the widow of cosmetics tycoon John Abbott and the mother of Michael Baldwin and Kevin Fisher. Her primary purpose of coming to Genoa City was to spend time with her sons, but as soon as she met John Abbott, the wealthy founder of Jabot Cosmetics, the two started dating. Subsequently, they got married without much of John's daughter, Ashley's approval. Doubtful of Gloria's identity, Ashley investigated her and found out that Kevin Fisher, one of Gloria's sons, was responsible for the attempted murder of John's granddaughter, Colleen. She also found out that Gloria's other son, Michael Baldwin, was the lawyer who helped John's rival, Victor Newman to send Jabot Cosmetics into bankruptcy. Despite these facts, Michael and Kevin saw John as their father figure, and John in turn had forgave them for their past.
