I wanted to share this with you. A Young & Restless writer was let go after t...
Since 1984, Mccarthy has lingered on the television circuit with a bunch of guest appearance and supporting roles. He has appeared on shows like
Malcolm in the Middle, Angel, Charmed, Miss Match and
Heroes, which was his most recent TV gig.
Coll, on the other hand, is a former Miss Puerto Rico turned actress. She made her debut in a local soap opera called
El Sirviente (The Servant) in 1971, and in the same year, also launched her solo singing career in the Club Ocho Puertas located in San Juan. Shortly after, she landed her own show called
Yo Soy Ivonne Coll (I am Ivonne Coll), which ran from 1971 to 1975.
Upon moving to Los Angeles, California in 1976, Coll took up dancing and singing classes in the Academy of Stage and Cinema Arts. This was followed by several participations in Off-Broadway productions of
Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, Spain 1980 and
As You Like It. Eventually, she caught the attention of movie director Francis Ford Coppola, who recruited her for the role of Yolanda, a Havana night club singer in the movie
The Godfather II. Although her role was a small one, the experienced gained served her well in the future as she was credited as “Yvonne Coll.” Some of her U.S. television credits include
The Bold and the Beautiful, An American Family, Pacific Blue, Chicago Hope and
Under Cover, just to name a few.
