On March 25,
Vampire Diaries fans will finally meet Matt's absentee mother, Kelly, in the form of Melinda Clarke.
As BuddyTV reported previously, the former
O.C. actress will be spicing things up with her sudden reappearance, which spells disaster for some of the residence of Mystic Falls.
While Kelly's relationship with her son Matt will most likely be explored, the show will also feature Kelly in a cougar storyline that involves hot bloodsucker Damon. And judging from the picture, you could tell that it's going to be one hell of a storyline.
"The two of them hit it off instantly and form a bond that results in some hard-core flirtin' and sexin'," Vampire Diaries exec producer Julie Plec tells
Entertainment Weekly, adding that "Damon isn't just about the high school girls. He's a worldly guy, so watching him sex it up with a real woman was very exciting."
