Comedian, writer and actor Damon Wayans was born in New York City on September 4, 1960. Born into the famous Wayans comedy clan, he began his career in stand-up comedy in 1982, and gained his first film appearance in Beverly Hill Cop, which starred Eddie Murphy. Wayans had a short stint in the popular Saturday Night Live, and then proceeded to star in In Living Color for two years. The 6’3” Wayans married Lisa Thorner, but they divorced in 2000. His other film credits include Major Payne and The Last Boy Scout.
Damon Wayans is one of the cast members in Showtime’s sketch comedy series The Underground.
