In the pilot episode, Amy finds out that she is pregnant after having sex for the first time with Ricky, who has a reputation of a school player. Scared to tell her parents, who are too distracted with their own marital issues as well as dealing with Amy’s rebellious little sister Ashley, Amy turns to her two best friends, Lauren and Madison, for support. To make matters complicated, Amy finds herself being courted by Ben, a sweet guy who joined the band just to be near her. Will he still stick around after learning the truth about Amy?
Meanwhile, The Secret Life of the American Teenager
also features Grace, the school's most popular cheerleader who makes a promise to her Christian parents that she won’t be having sex until she’s married. On the other hand, her boyfriend Jack doesn’t seem to be the type who’s willing to wait. The situation gets worse when Adrian, a majorette who is more than willing to help ease Jack's tension, enters the canvas. However, Adrian’s true intention is to win over Ricky, who also has his own agenda and a troubled past.
Don’t forget to catch this one hour heartfelt drama every Tuesday on ABC Family.
