Other than his initial scuffle with
Shauvon Torres,
Isaac Stout has been staying out of both the romantic entanglements and arguments that the other
The Real World housemates have found themselves in with the other cast members. He's found gone outside the walls of
The Real World house to find a hookup, landing himself a fun local girl (Noirin) that everyone seems to like. While he did recently have to go home to attend the funeral of his grandfather, he returned “ready to party” as he put it.
But is there something deeper to Isaac than first meets the eye? What's more, has he been keeping a giant secret from the other
The Real World cast? Or is the funny guy just being…well,
funny?
The sneak preview for Episode 23 of this season of
The Real World finds Isaac in a contemplative mood. His fun girlfriend has just proposed the two take a four-month expedition throughout Asia. But Isaac is, he says in confessional, feeling like once this show is over, it might be time for him to finally take some things seriously. So does he want to commit to a four-month trip with a girl who only wants to “drink, party and get down?”
Later, all of the housemates are in a van with one another and talking about family. And then Isaac drops the bombshell, telling the others that he has two kids, one two-years-old, and four-years-old. Understandably, he's met with incredulity, and the others ask him some quick questions. He's able, though, to respond without hesitation and this seems to give some other housemates pause – namely
Parisa Montazaran.
Not so much for Ashli. She brushes it all off, saying it must be a joke, because there is no way Isaac would be out partying if he had two kids at home.
Later, Parisa expresses to Ashli that she since she just can't be sure he doesn't have any kids, she feels like she doesn't want to question his decision to be in the house. Ashli can't believe Parisa would even remotely believe him.
So will we find out the answer in the next episode? Maybe, or else we could just check his MySpace page for now, where he says he wants kids “Someday.” As far as my understanding goes, kids only go in one direction; you can't stow them back away for later. Most likely Isaac is practicing his deadpan delivery on the housemates with another tall tale.
