The Real World was renewed for its 21st season, which is set to take place in Brooklyn, New York. Now, further reports have surfaced, talking about what’s in store for the next season and where our MTV housemates will be residing. The men behind the production have already promised viewers that the new season will focus on individuals who are “genuine” and have “meaningful conflict” that would eventually tell “powerful stories.”

This season,
The Real World was extended to a full hour to accommodate more drama as it tells their story in the west coast. For season 21, however, the gang will be moving to the east coast, where they are to settle in a $6 million penthouse loft,
Black Book Magazine reports. The residence, which is 6,000 square-feet big, is composed of two-stories, five bedrooms and 10-foot windows. Moreover, a Jacuzzi is about to be installed, much to the viewers’ pleasure just because Jacuzzis make things more interesting.
David Bistricer, the owner of the building, was quick to explain why the place was chosen instead of Williamsburg, as the previous reports stated.
“Williamsburg is a story that is three years old, downtown is a story in the making,” he says proudly.
Nonetheless, fans are looking forward to the new season, which conveniently cast a set of entertainment-industry aspiring people who may have roamed the Hollywood Boulevard before. Like previous Real World participants, these fresh batch of individuals have what it takes to be on the show—family trauma and conflicts, records with the law and personal demons such as drug and alcohol dependencies, all of which are to be put on the spotlight as they get in front of the camera for the 12-episode 21st season of
The Real World, which debuts on MTV this summer.
