The Real Housewives of Orange County may be losing a few cast members but it sounds like the Bravo series is also welcoming back a familiar face. Lydia McLaughlin, who was a series regular in season 8, is reportedly returning for season 12.
According to People
's source, the 35-year-old mother of three has already started filming for the new season. It's uncertain how McLaughlin will return on the Bravo series, whether she'll appear in just an episode, recur as a friend of the housewives or as part of the main cast.
Since she left RHOC, McLaughlin has given birth to her third child and concentrated on her magazine. She has also released the book Beyond Orange County: A Housewives Guide to Faith and Happiness, in which she revealed "God was calling me to walk away from the show."
"When I was asked back to do season 9, I wanted to do it. Being on the show was everything the world tells us to desire and it was what I desired," she wrote. "But deep, deep down--so quiet I could almost silence it--I knew in my heart it was not God's plan for me to go back."
The news of McLaughlin's return on RHOC
comes weeks after Heather Dubrow announced that she's leaving the Bravo series after five seasons, as well as Meghan King Edmonds' rumored exit.
How do you feel about McLaughlin? Are you looking forward to her return on RHOC? Will she fit it?
