Last night's episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta
was not only funny but a little bit creepy. Phaedra's baby shower was outright creepy, but there were also a few details and moments that may have slipped into our subconscious, only to wake us up later in a cold sweat. Here are those moments:
Kim's parents visit and Kim's father calls her "a very class individual." According to Father Zolciak, Kim sang a song in eighth grade and he almost cried. I want to cry when Kim sings, too. The creepiest moment of the whole visit, however, was when Kim played her performance for her parents on YouTube and her daughter Ariana was dancing to it.
Phaedra's outfit for the steeplechase.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
In Tim Gunn's words, it was "a lot of look." In Cynthia's words, she looked like "a black Tammy Faye Baker." Also, her attitude was extremely off-putting. Bonus creepy: Phaedra is basically married to Dwight. I didn't see Apollo this whole episode, except for a really creepy, romance-novel-y picture of him and Phaedra at the baby shower.
NeNe goes under. Hospitals and needles are so creepy, and watching someone mumbling under anesthetic is pretty disconcerting. Still, for someone on all kinds of drugs, NeNe was still making sense and making us laugh, telling Sheree she can wear one of her bras shortly after asking, "Am I alive?"
Phaedra decides to allow Cynthia to come to her baby shower to meet the "creme de la creme" of Atlanta. Then Phaedra proceeded to brag about herself to anyone who would listen.
Kim wants to sing country again. I can't decide if it's creepy or a gift from God to entertain us.
The "Love Doctor" seminar. I didn't understand much, if anything, he was getting at. Ketchup, percentages, lounging on the panel table? Whatever it was, it turned Sheree on, which is also a little creepy.
THE BABY SHOWER. Creepy highlights from the grand high "WTF" baby shower include:
-Dwight puts on makeup to escort Phaedra, whose hair and makeup is also creepy.
-The dress code
-Dwight referring to a "packed house" and Phaedra turning people away so they don't ruin her grand entrance.
-The "special presentation" (when the ballerinas came out). Phaedra, it is not your job to "educate" Atlanta. In Kim's words, "even if you're having a girl that sh*t doesn't make sense."
"Hoorah! We did it!"
What did YOU think was the creepiest moment?
