Yes, it's September, and a lot of fans can barely contain their excitement with the barrage of shows that will either premiere or return this fall. One of such, of course, is
The Office, which will be returning on September 25 at 8pm as part of NBC's one-two punch every Thursday along with
30 Rock. The critically acclaimed series is out on its fifth season, and, unlike other series that usually begin to dull down after a few ones,
The Office looks like it's not going to lose steam any time soon.
September 25, however, is still a good three weeks away, so to satiate the cravings of
The Office fans for Steve Carrel,
Rainn Wilson,
John Krasinski, and Jenna Fisher, its season 4 DVD came out September 2. The four-disc set includes every episode of the strike-interrupted fourth season, plus some deleted scenes.
Season 4 is quite memorable for fans of Pam (Fisher) and Jim (Krasinski) who waited for three seasons for the couple to start dating. There were other notable romances in this season, including Angela and Andy. There was also that memorable proposal in the finale which can or cannot influence a lot of things come 5th season. This is precisely what
The Office fans noticed on the season: the plots and storylines were all character-driven and focused on the loveable employees of Dunder Mifflin.
The other features of the DVD set include a number of episodes with cast commentary such as "The Deposition," that saw Michael asked to speak at Jan's deposition, and the episode called "Did I Stutter?" where Stanley finally snaps and yells at Michael. There is also a blooper reel is that is just different from any other, what with greats like Carell and Krasinski.
The Office Season 4 DVD from The Office web site goes for $37.98.
