Mischa Barton, former cast member of The O.C. dismissed rumors about her dating Jamie Dornan, ex-boyfriend of actress Keira Knightley, stating that she is single and loving it. She explained, "I think I'm too busy for men. I'm a single girl right now. I'm hoping to spend more time in England, so who knows about the future and if the right guy came along. My mum and sister live in England and I love to spend time with them. It's important to be with people who understand my commitments."

Mischa Barton, a 21-year old English-born American actress and fashion model, is popularly known for her portrayal of Marissa Cooper on the teen drama series The O.C. Prior to her stint on The O.C., she studied at the Professional Children’s School in Manhattan and also attended the Shakespearean acting program at RADA. She started her acting career at the age of nine, working in Broadway and off-Broadway productions. Her other acting credits included Notting Hill, Lost and Delirious, The Sixth Sense, and Bonnie and Clyde among others.

Prior to the rumors about her being involved with Jamie Dornan, Northern Irish model and film actor, Barton confirmed that her relationship with rocker Cisco Adler, vocalist of rock band Whitestarr, is officially over after 18 months of dating. Barton’s representative told Us Weekly, "Mischa and Cisco have decided to part ways. Mischa is moving soon and they both have very demanding schedules.”

After her departure from The O.C., she became preoccupied with making movies like Closing the Ring alongside Shirley Maclaine and Brenda Fricker, Virgin Territory and Don’t Fade Away, all of which are still awaiting release in 2007.
