Born on August 31, 1962 in Florence, South Carolina, Mark Lewis Wahlberg is an actor and comic best known from the PBS version of Antiques Roadshow, which he hosted since 2005. He also worked as a host for reality shows Temptation Island, Free 4 All, The Big Date, Russian Roulette and On the Cover. From 1991 to 1994, Wahlberg appeared as an announcer and sidekick in the television series, Shop 'Til You Drop.
Aside from being a television celebrity, Wahlberg is also part of the board of directors of Goodwill of Southern California and the board of managers of the Hollywood/Wilshire YMCA. He also plays on the World Poker Tour in the Hollywood Home Games for the Goodwill Industries of Southern California.
Wahlberg is married to actress Robbi Morgan Wahlberg, who mothered his two children. His upcoming projects include game show The Moment of Truth, wherein the contestants are to honestly answer a series of personal questions with a lie detector confirming their answers.
