'The Lying Game' Recap: Best of 'Being Sutton'
'The Lying Game' Recap: Best of 'Being Sutton'
In tonight's episode of The Lying Game, Emma (Alexandra Chando) has to fake her way through a father-daughter dance since Sutton (also Chando) is still M.I.A. In other news, we meet a new character with plenty of his own secrets.

Top Five Moments:

5. Dance lessons: Ethan (Blair Redford ) teaches Emma how to dance so her cover will not be blown when she takes Sutton's place in the spotlight. (The scenes are those trade-mark sequences that show-case the sexual tension between the characters and work surprisingly well here, despite their predictability.)

4. The secrets we keep: While Emma does her best to act like Sutton, Sutton's father (Andy Buckley ) has an interesting conversation with Mads' dad, Alec Rybak (Adrian Pasdar). The chat alludes to a certain secret the two have been keeping. Could this be about Emma and Sutton's birth parents? And does it have anything to do with another talk Alec has later in the episode with Ethan's brother, Dan the cop (Tyler Christopher)?

3. Sutton is safe: After several days with no contact, Sutton finally reaches out to Emma via the internet while Ethan tags along. Sutton tells Emma that she set up a meeting with their birth mother but the woman never showed up and Sutton asks for a few more days to look into it. Emma and Ethan reluctantly agree to keep up the ruse. What Sutton does not tell Emma is that she also has help in the form of a potential love interest, Mads' big brother, Thayer (Christian Alexander ).

2. Not so secret, secret-boyfriend: Ethan interrupts a fight in order to protect Emma and Emma tends to his wounds back at Sutton's house. While Ethan is upstairs, Laurel (Allie Gonino) lets it slip that she thinks Ethan is seeing Sutton in secret and when Sutton's parents enter her room unannounced, they find Emma and Ethan together. At least that is one less secret for Emma to worry about.

1. Bad dad: As mentioned above, Adrian Pasdar makes his first appearance as Mads' (Alice Greczyn) father. From his many dealings in tonight's episode, it seems pretty clear that the District Attorney is not on the same side as our girls, especially when it is revealed that he was the one who arranged the break-in in order to steal Sutton's laptop.

On the next episode of The Lying Game, Ethan will have dinner with Sutton's family and Sutton will uncover more information in Los Angeles.
