Being on the
Laguna Beach spin-off,
The Hills, has made
Heidi Montag a reality television celebrity, but in the October 8 issue of
Us Weekly, she revealed her uncertainty of signing up for the another season of the show should MTV decide to order one more for next year.
"I don't know. I'm not sure about that. Probably not," Montag, an aspiring singer, told
Us. "I really just want to get on the road with my singing. I'm working with this new producer, Nephew, and he just did Nelly's single. He's worked with Snoop Dogg and Missy Elliott and Michael Jackson. I really want to start touring. Who knows?"
On the other hand, one thing that Montag claims to be sure of is that, after undergoing rhinoplasty and breast augmentation, she is finally satisfied with her body.
Montag underwent both procedures in April, but the 21-year-old
The Hills star only confirmed it recently simply because she felt there was no real reason to make it known to the public.
"I was healing and I didn't feel the need to share it with people," she told
Us. "Then, so much negative press came out about it, and people who have either gotten surgery themselves or contemplated it were ragging on me. This was the right decision, and who's to judge or tell me otherwise? God's the only one who can judge me."
Heidi Montag also clarified to
Us that her decision to undergo plastic surgery was fueled by her strong feelings of insecurity, and that she had actually been contemplating getting the operations for several years. However, it was only until she began earning a substantial income from
The Hills that she was able to put her plans into action.
"I decided on this a couple years ago. I wanted it way before the show, but I couldn't afford it," she said. "Let's just say it was very expensive. I went to the best doctor [Beverly Hills-based plastic surgeon Dr. Frank Ryan]. This isn't something you cut corners on. I decided last November that, during [hiatus], I was going to get surgery. MTV said, 'Yeah, whatever you want to do. It's your body.' I'm just glad I didn't have to do it on the show."
She also said that contrary to what co-star
Audrina Patridge has said, her decision to undergo plastic surgery was in no way influenced by her fiancé Spencer Pratt.
"He had nothing to do with it. If anything, he said, 'Maybe you should think about it a lot longer,'" she told
Us. She also said that while she was recovering from the surgeries, Pratt was a great source of support.
"He was a rock... You couldn't pay a nurse to be better," Heidi Montag told
Us.
Aside from the aesthetic reasons, Montag said her rhinoplasty has enabled her to “breathe so much better” and added her “voice has cleared up too.”
