Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner, who’s turning 83 today, already celebrated his birthday in advance with a pool party at the Palms Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The festivities kicked off Saturday afternoon and were hosted by none other than his former number 1 girlfriend and Girls Next Door co-star, Holly Madison.

This marks Hefner and Madison’s first reunion following their split last year.  Madison revealed that she and Hefner are no longer together last October, putting an end to weeks of speculations about the real scope of their downhill relationship.  She moved on into the arms of illusionist Criss Angel but the couple broke up after only four months of dating. Madison was last seen on the small screen as she graced the dance floor of Dancing with the Stars, where she became the third eliminated contestant.

"I haven’t seen him since I left the mansion," Madison said before Hefner’s arrival. "And it is my first time filming Girls Next Door as a single lady so that’s exciting."

Aside from Madison, Hefner’s other former girlfriends and co-stars on The Girls Next Door, Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt, came to celebrate his birthday.  Of course, Hefner’s new ladies, Crystal Harris, Karissa Shannon and Kristina Shannon were also present.

"As you can tell I am very, very happy.  To celebrate my birthday with new girlfriends and former girlfriends is perfect, it’s wonderful," Hefner said.  "I’ve had a life well-lived with so much satisfaction, I enjoy just looking back."

Last year, Hefner also celebrated his birthday at the Playboy Club in the Palms Casino Hotel in Las Vegas.  Among fans and guests present at the bash was former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson, who surprised Hefner with a cake that featured his three girlfriends and a lap dance, which she performed in nothing but a pair of high heels.  At the time, the stars of The Girls Next Door also had something up their sleeves.  In fact, their birthday gift came in the form of chocolate-dipped body parts, which they designed themselves.
