After months of rumors, Holly Madison cleared things up to a few paparazzi photographers last night on the streets of Hollywood: she and Hugh Hefner are no longer together. On their hit show, The Girls Next Door, Holly has been begging Hef to settle down and marry her. She often planned out what their wedding would be like, while his eyes just kind of glazed interview. While she’s been very vocal about becoming a wife and a mother, he saw things very differently. "I love her very much, but you know, she wants very much to get married and have children,” he said in a recent interview. “That isn't very much in the cards for me. So there has to be a certain reality there. And I'm sure the time will come when she'll be dating others. That's part of the transition."

Hefner has been very realistic and calm in the weeks leading up the breakup, which is not surprising. The man has had more girlfriends than anyone on the face of the planet and breakups are just part of his reality. He joked that when she started dating again, he hoped that she’d have better taste. That taste is questionable, depending on whether or not you like magicians. It’s been rumored that Holly is dating Criss Angel, star of A&E’s Mindfreak.

So how did it become public knowledge that Holly and Hef were no long an item? When a photographer asked if she could get him into the annual Playboy Halloween party, she laughed and said: “I have no pull anymore. Hef and I are no longer together.” The San Francisco Chronicle reported that there were rumors Holly had cheated on Hef, though he shouldn’t be offended, considering he still has two other girlfriends. In the meantime, The Girls Next Door rolls on with talk of spinoffs for each of Hef’s girls, Holly included.
