Holly Madison has often been involved in Playboy related events ever since she was cast as one of Hugh Hefner's girlfriends on the reality series The Girls Next Door.  As reported previously, she is spearheading the search for next Playboy Playmate in celebration of the 55th Anniversary of Playboy magazine.  In line with this, the latest episode of The Girls Next Door followed Madison and co-star Bridget Marquardt as they head to Dallas and New York for the annual Playmate search.

According to The Girls Next Door's Holly Madison, Playboy is said to be looking for "someone who is sexy, sophisticated, and the all-American girl next door.”  And since Texas has always been a hotspot for Playboy Playmates, including past Playmates of the Year Anna Nicole Smith and Stacy Sanches, they decided to roll into Texas with high expectations for the 55th Anniversary search.

“This is almost like the Academy Awards of Playboy,” explained Madison, who checked out photo shoots and talked to some of the girls hoping to become Miss January 2009.  “This is like, big.”

Following a disappointing turnout in Chicago last week, Holly had her fingers crossed for a successful Dallas trip.

“They say everything is bigger in Texas so I hope that comes in the form of certain body parts,” she giggled.  “We were looking for some big D's in the big D!”

The casting call did Big D proud, as the results included a former Dallas Cowboy cheerleader, one of the beauties on the current Beauty and the Geek and even three Playboy Special Editions models.  After finding Hope, an attractive television host, the stars of The Girls Next Door felt satisfied and are now ready to take on the Big Apple.

Meanwhile, Playboy has also made it easier for women from the most far-flung of American towns to sign up in the special anniversary Playmate casting call.  Anyone interested but unable to go to any of the stops where the anniversary casting calls are held may now send in their entries via the YouTube contest channel.  The top ladies will win a paid trip to Los Angeles and real Playmate test shoot under the guidance of Holly Madison.
