This winter, Kevin Bacon will make his starring debut on television in The Following. The dark and twisted cop vs. serial killer storyline is both terrifying and riveting. If you don't want to wait until winter to start getting obsessed with The Following, check out this video interview from Comic-Con with Kevin Bacon.

WARNING: Kevin Bacon is talking about The Following, a show that will not air on television until sometime this winter. Not only might there be Following spoilers included in the interview, but you may also get impatient waiting for the series premiere. It might be easier just to not think about it.

Check out what Kevin Bacon has to say about The Following in the video below:

  • It is kind of impressive that The Following will be filmed in New York City. I guess that's what happens when a big movie star wants to film there.
  • Kevin Bacon does not know the number of movies he has made. All I know is that it's a very, very big number.
  • I have seen The Following. I don't remember where it's set.
  • In case you've been living under a rock and don't follow celebrity relationships, Kyra Sedgwick (the star of The Closer) is Kevin Bacon's wife.
  • Of course all of the television producers wanted Kevin Bacon. Who wouldn't want Kevin Bacon? He's awesome!
  • The Following actually is twisted and dark enough to count as a cable show. Just a little less blood and a lot less sex.
  • Yay! Kevin Bacon will continue to make movies! The Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon can continue...
  • I honestly hadn't realized that they've been casting Kevin Bacon as a lot of villains recently. But now that he points it out, that makes sense.
  • Kevin Bacon plays a retired FBI agent in The Following. Although he wrote a huge book on a serial killer (the main antagonist in The Following, played by James Purefoy), the show opens with Bacon as a drunk semi-failure. He is definitely a complicated hero.
  • The serial killer is an intelligent, charming, former college professor. It's not much of a surprise that he would be smarter than the average FBI agent. Also much more evil...
