Paul Walker Took 'Fast and Furious' for the Money
There’s a simple reason why Paul Walker returned to The Fast and the Furious franchise, after appearing in the first two films and skipping the third.  “A lot of money,” he said.

However, the catch is it was a joke.  “I don’t know,” he continued.  “I thought it would be fun to go back and do it one more time to close it out.” The actor will appear alongside other returning stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster; the film, Fast and Furious, is expected to hit theaters in June 2009. However, he thinks fans of the series will wonder more about who will not appear in the film.

“When I did the second one everyone said ‘What’s up with Vin [Diesel]?  Why didn’t he come back for the second one?’” he said.  “And then I didn’t do the third one everyone was ‘Why didn’t you do the third one?’  But now everyone is going to be ‘Where’s Tyrese [Gibson]?’  I fought for that, to have him on board and it just didn’t work out.”
