Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama will be taking over the airwaves on Wednesday night. The senator purchased a half-hour of airtime at 8pm on most of the major networks, which he'll use to address the nation one last time before next week's election. Those who don't care to see Obama's speech can tune into the ratings-challenged
Pushing Daisies on ABC or
America's Next Top Model on the CW. Later that evening, Obama will appear on
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart for the first time since the eve of the Pennsylvania Primary. It'll be the candidate's fourth appearance on the Comedy Central series, though this time he'll be appearing via satellite from Florida.
When Obama previously appeared on
The Daily Show in April, it was at the height of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright controversy. His appearance on the show tomorrow night will likely be more humorous in nature, especially since he's widely considered the frontrunner in the presidential race. Those who want to hear from Republican candidate John McCain can catch him on
Larry King Live on CNN, which airs Wednesday night at 9pm.
While most people will be glued to the tube for the political messages tomorrow night, I'll be indulging in both
Pushing Daisies and
America's Next Top Model. The new episode of
Top Model finds the remaining girls flying to Amsterdam to pose in the Red Light District, while
Pushing Daisies features a mysterious murder at a Chinese restaurant. With all the political ranting and raving at a fever pitch, it'll be nice to escape to something more frivolous.
The new episode of
The Daily Show featuring Barack Obama will air Wednesday night at 11pm on Comedy Central.
