Monday night, Stephen Colbert was so
on that, in a rare breaking-character moment, he literally cracked himself up -- and us too -- with his bits about Senator John Kyl and
Fox and Friends' idiotic statements against Planned Parenthood.
Watch the clip here. And he continued his crusade for truth on Twitter yesterday,
starting the hashtag "#NotIntendedToBeAFactualStatement" as he tweeted lie after hilarious lie about John Kyl. Because hey, as Kyl said himself, you can pretty much say anything you want if you then admit it was not
intended to be read as truth. (Check out
HuffPo's picks for the best ones here, but they're all worth a look.) As we established yesterday, it was brilliant. And I posted my absolute favorite below, under the video, for posterity.
Stephen returned last night to assess the success of his Twitter game, which caught on at an "unprece-tweeted rate of 46 per minute, which, incidentally, is the rate at which John Kyl catapults puppies into the sea."
Watch: And my favorite:

I know Stephen has to move on because that's what the news does, but this is one game I wish could stick around forever. And that is a factual statement.
