After skipping town last month, The Bold and the Beautiful
's Stephanie Douglas is getting ready to storm back on Friday, October 19. She's not alone, however, as her mother, Ann, is set to return as well. Guest star Betty White
(The Golden Girls
) will reprise her role as the Douglas matriarch.
Stephanie, played by Susan Flannery
, left town after her involvement in Brooke Logan's (Katherine Kelly Lang
) rape was exposed. Her actions, as well as her rather long absence, have driven the wedge between her and Eric (John McCook
) even deeper.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
With Stephanie away, Eric has been free to play – and not just by himself. Eric and Brooke's sister, Donna (Jennifer Lynne Gareis
) have taken their relationship to a whole a new level, and with Stephanie not by his side, Eric has been free to explore a different side of himself.
“He's absolutely closed off to Stephanie right now. He's not able to deal with her because she left town. What he is feeling is the freedom and the enjoyment of living his life as an artist, businessman and as a man,” McCook told Soap Opera Digest
. “For the first 10 years [I played the] businessman. Not a lot of humor, not a lot of energy, not a lot of joy. Just focusing on the business with Stephanie, keeping everything together and being a moral compass for the children.”
Now, things are moving in a different direction, and when Stephanie comes back to town, viewers can expect to see a much tougher Eric on The Bold and the Beautiful
“Eric makes it very hard for Stephanie to come back and be contrite,” McCook told Soap Opera Digest,
adding that it is not only his character who is peeved with his potential ex-wife. “Everyone is disgusted and disappointed in Stephanie now. It's not just Eric. Everybody in the family is turned off by what's happened. She's going to have to work really hard to get back into anybody's good graces.”
The Bold and the Beautiful
airs weekdays on CBS.
