Wasn't it just a few weeks ago when Danny won The Biggest Loser
Well, there's still many more of us who have huge weight issues that they need to lose, and fast, so yes, it's another season of The Biggest Loser
. It's a couples season, so we get 11 pairs. Parents and children, brothers and sisters, married couples, and this season, we have twins, too.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
We all know what happens on the first week of the show: the teams take to the weighing scale and see their initial weight, and after a week's worth of tasks and workouts, they face the scale again with hopes of making the yellow line. One of the 22 contestants will then be eliminated.
But, well, there are tweaks. We've seen this in the preview at the last season finale: public weigh-ins! The eleven couples will not learn of their initial weight at the ranch; instead, they'll do it in their hometowns, in front of family and friends. Talk about literally facing their devils. But I'm sure everybody in town will cheer them on--hey, it's not just a personal journey.
Usually the first week's challenge involves something pretty daunting, and this season isn't an exception. Last time we had the contestants run one mile off a marathon, and that didn't really end well for some. This time, the contestants will face a much more difficult challenge. Sure, they won't be moving from one place to another--they'll be in stationary bikes--but each team will have to cover the whole 26.2 miles in a marathon.
After all, we have what apparently is the heaviest cast the show has ever seen. Yeah, we've seen this promise for the past few seasons, but the identical twins this season weigh in at 526 pounds each--that shatters a lot of records, indeed. But this bunch of contestants will also break weight loss records set on the show. One of them will break it on the very first week.
And then someone goes home, and then there's Alison, Bob and Jillian. Yeah, it's the same, only a bit more different. The Biggest Loser: Couples
