Spoiler Alert: 'The Big Bang Theory' Nerdtastic Spoilers
Last season on The Big Bang Theory, we were left with a bit of a cliffhanger when it appeared that Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) had slept together. Everyone wanted to know what exactly happened and if it would hurt the group dynamic. With season 5 already underway those questions have been answered and for us fans of the geekiest gang on television a new question has arisen: What's next?

The Big Bang Theory had a history of great guest stars in its past, and by looking ahead to some of the scheduled guest stars, we can glean some The Big Bang Theory spoilers regarding what's to come for our favorite fanboys.

Bringing Back Some Favorites

With Christine Baranski already reprising her role as Leonard's (Johnny Galecki) mom in the fifth season premiere, can we also look forward to Laurie Metcalf returning as Sheldon's (Jim Parsons) mom? Producer Bill Prady said during a Comic-Con roundtable interview, "We certainly hope Laurie Metcalf will be back." Since her role always provided some great laughs at Sheldon's expense, I hope she does get to come back this season.

Prady also expressed interest in bringing back Will Wheaton as himself and Sheldon's nemesis, which will happen in the fifth episode this season when Sheldon and Leonard are invited to a party at Will Wheaton's house. This episode is also set to guest star recurring cast member Kevin Sussman, as Stuart the comic book shop owner, as well as Brent Spiner (Star Trek: The Next Generation) as himself. I'm sure there will be plenty of Star Trek references and jokes in this episode for our amusement.

Which The Big Bang Theory Character Are You?

A Few Good Ladies

There are more Big Bang Theory spoilers. It seems there will also be some potential love interests guest starring this season, one or more of which may be for Raj.

In this week's episode, Penny introduces Raj to her deaf friend Emily, played by Katie LeClerc (Switched at Birth). Could she be the perfect girl for Raj, or will he be just as intimidated as he is with every other girl? Either way, I'm sure it will be hilarious. After four full seasons and his night with Penny, Raj seems to be developing a little bit more confidence with the ladies, so this could turn out well for him.

Later this October, another good looking woman will be making a guest appearance. It seems our brainy boys will meet a girl named Alice at the comic book shop, of all places. Alice will be played by Courtney Ford who is known for playing Bill's (Stephen Moyer) booty call and distant relative Portia Bellefleur on True Blood as well as her role as Trinity's (John Lithgow) daughter in Dexter. With several dramatic roles under her belt I hope she is able to pull off a comedic role, not that it would be difficult with this group.

Could one or both of these roles could potentially become recurring characters? Melissa Rauch's role as Bernadette was only supposed to be for one episode and now she's a series regular, so it's not far fetched to guess that if Katie LeClerc and Courtney Ford are liked by us fans, they could return in future episodes. What do you think?
