A member of Houston based theater company, Infernal Bridgeroom Productions, actor Jim Parsons made his television debut on Ed, where he played Chet. In 2005, he was cast for the role of Rob Holbrook on Judging Amy, and in 2007, he joined the cast of CBS' The Big Bang Theory.
Sheldon is played by Jim Parsons in CBS' The Big Bang Theory. A nerd with a head full of physics formulas, Sheldon is the best friend of likewise geek Leonard. Together, they may be the smartest guys on the block, but when it comes to women, they can't say a lot. Then comes their pretty new neighbor Penny who's fresh from a break up, to teach them a couple of things about women, and possibly, love.
