While the upcoming CW fashion-themed series The Beautiful Life won't air until this fall, critics have already expressed interest in the series, some praising the cast that is "brimming with chemistry."

"The Beautiful Life is a flat out joy to watch," according to an early review of the pilot episode.  "Sara Paxton and Ben Hollingsworth have an undeniable spark that permeates the entire show, one of that somehow manages to capture the lightning in a bottle that is being young and discovering the world.  And while the modeling profession has been dissected to death on television as of late, Adam Giaudrone has found a surprisingly engaging lens to view it through in Raina and Chris."

The Beautiful Life, which centers on the lives of various people in the high-fashion modeling industry, tackles the issue of "fleeting fame" among other topics commonly associated with the so-called beautiful lifestyle.

The show also marks the return of O.C. alumna Mischa Barton to the small screen.  She plays supermodel Sonja, who fled the scene to Rio de Janeiro owing to a scandal, but has since vowed to reclaim her spot at the top of the modeling chain.  Paxton and Hollingsworth, meanwhile, play young, up-and-coming starters Raina and Chris, who might or might not be disillusioned with their new world.

The rest of the cast includes fellow aspiring models Marissa (Ashley Madekwe), Egan (Jordan Woolley), and Isaac, played by High School Musical's Corbin Bleu.  Nico Tortorella also stars as current flavor of the month Kai.
