Looks like Jake Pavelka has got some tough competition ahead and The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love hasn't even started. After competing for Jillian Harris' heart of The Bachelorette, he'll once again compete with on-screen rival and fellow Bachelorette contestant Wes Hayden, who has found himself a new TV gig on another network.
"We have been approached by a network for another opportunity," Hayden's manager, Buck Judkins, revealed.
Judkins would not confirm if the network in question is NBC, adding "It's too early to tell." But Hayden has been a little more generous with his answer.
"I've actually got something going on right now that's on NBC. They want me on just because of the popularity that I had from ABC," Hayden told
TVGuide.com. "There's something cooking in the works and you just might say ... me and Jake with the feud on
The Bachelorette ... it might be weird to see Jake on ABC and Wes on NBC."
Nominated for Favorite Villain at the Fox Reality Channel's Really Awards, Wes Hayden became the subject of controversy on
The Bachelorette for allegedly having an off-screen girlfriend and for being on the show for ulterior motives, mainly to promote his country singing career--- which were all revealed to Jillian Harris by none other than Jake Pavelka.
Several months after being eliminated on
The Bachelorette, many still perceive Hayden as a villain but he maintains that he's not a bad guy. He also admits that he still keeps in touch with Harris.
"We talk frequently on Facebook. Everything's fine. Jillian, I love you, you're my girl, I want the best for you," Hayden said.
Is this the most brilliant casting ploy for the rival network or the worst idea ever? Has your opinion about Wes Hayden changed since
The Bachelorette season 5? Or is he still the same old jerk? Let me know what you think!
