The highly anticipated season premiere of The Bachelorette is nearly here, airing on the Monday of Memorial Day weekend. Everyone will hopefully have spent most of their holiday out in the sun, so an evening gathered around the couch will be welcomed, especially if it involves meeting Desiree Hartsock's men! Here are a few ideas to prepare for the premiere and survive those two hour long episodes this season.

Pick Your Dream Team

First order of business, choose your "Top Five" or "Bachelor Dream Team" consisting of the bachelors you think are the best match for Desiree solely based on the first impressions and keep them out of your bottom picks in Fantasy TV. This way, every episode has something or someone at steak. Who says fantasy football leagues get to have all the fun? Tread lightly though, because we all know how devastating it was to see Des go home.

Play The Bachelorette Fantasy TV: Join the Public League or Create a Private League with Your Friends.

Grab the Tissues

A box of top tissue is also crucial, even in the beginning of the season. You never know when a moment of hilarity, like the Season 8 premiere of The Bachelor when Sean was introduced to the infamous Ashley P. and her Christian Grey obsession, or an unexpected sentiment will evoke a few tears.

Put on a Party Dress and Keep the Liquid Flowing

Two hours is a lot of Bachelorette time, so plan accordingly with beverages and accouterments. Perhaps even a bottle of champagne would be a nice way to christen the new season if you're feeling fancy. It is the premiere after all, so indulge a little.

If you've gathered friends, a drinking game can be invented. Choose a word that every time it is used, your guests take a sip of their beverage, but be careful and creative since something like "love" may have you waking up the next morning with quite a headache.

Also, why not dress up a bit! If you've committed to the champagne, go ahead and throw on a spring dress to celebrate Desiree's summer of love.

However you choose to welcome Season 9 of The Bachelorette, be sure to tune in Monday, May 27 on ABC.
