The Celebrity Apprentice: Episode 11 Recap

The Celebrity Apprentice was a flawed competition from the very beginning.  Most of the given tasks have been predicated on who had the most high-powered contacts that could swoop in and hand over thousands of dollars in checks.  The easy way to get around this loophole, of course, is to simply forbid the teams from calling their rich friends.  Tonight on The Apprentice, Donald Trump finally made the game fair by not allowing the contestants to call any of their contacts.  The task tonight involved creating and selling a sandwich for Quizno's.

Eww, Omarosa cleavage in the recap of last episode.  We begin tonight's episode with Piers Morgan celebrating his team's victory and Omarosa's firing.  Piers apologizes to Trace Adkins about kissing him in the boardroom.  Piers is insufferable after his victory – gloating and talking everyone's ear off.  The task this week is for Quizno's.  Each team has to design their own sandwiches, and then take two house to prepare the sandwiches and then two hours to sell the sandwiches.  And, thankfully, the teams are not allowed to use their rolodexes – they have to sell to people on the street.  Whoever sells the most sandwiches wins.

Trace and Stephen Baldwin discuss their sandwich. They think of “Cowboy Club.”  Hydra goes back to the well and Piers says they should make the “Champ Sandwich” featuring Lennox Lewis.  They go to their Quizno's and decide to take their most popular sandwich, and just change the cheese.

Bacon is prominently involved in Trace and Stephen's “Prime Rib Cowboy Club.”  Carol Alt, on Hydra, is having trouble getting Hydra's fliers out.  Their printer is having issues.  Piers is upset that Carol hasn't figured out what to do with the fliers.

Stephen and Trace personally hand out fliers on the street.  They were able to walk a few blocks to a Kinko's type establishment and reel off a bunch of copies.  Hydra, however, only get their fliers only right before their sales period begins.  Piers is entertained by how rude New Yorkers are.  Trace is a hit on the streets.

Hydra's Quizno's looks very busy – Lennox is doing a good job standing right outside and leading people inside.  Ivanka enjoys the Champ Sandwich.  Empresario runs out of Cowboy Clubs near the end of their sales period.  Hydra's Quizno's has been packed the entire time they've been selling.  This is going to be a close result.

In the boardroom, both teams are very confident in what they did during their task.  Hydra sold 313 sandwiches.  Empresario sold 253 sandwiches.  Trump sends Lennox, Piers and Carol out of the boardroom.  It's now down between Stephen and Trace.  Neither Trace or Stephen will say a bad word about the other.  Trace takes all the blame, since he was the PM, but Stephen hasn't sold as much as chase over the season.

The two men return to the boardroom after some quick Trump deliberation. Trump likes both of these guys.  In the end, Trump just likes Trace too much and doesn't think Stephen has sold enough in the past.  He fires Stephen Baldwin.

In the final moments of the episode, the final four are summoned to the boardroom immediately after Stephen's firing.  In a cliffhanger, Trump tells the four that before the end of the night, two of them will be fired.

Who would you have fired?
Stephen
Trace
