The Apprentice: Celebrity Edition is set up for unfair tasks. Just by the mere fact that different celebrities bring varying expertise to the table, it's obvious that, depending upon the task, some teams will have an immediate leg up. Such was the case tonight. The task involved creating a photo shoot for a soap company. One team had legendary super model Carol Alt, the other team didn't. Now, this wasn't an entirely insurmountable situation, but c'mon – Carol Alt is a stunning woman and tonight's
Celebrity Apprentice came down to placing Carol in front of the camera and letting her do her thing.
Lennox is happy that he, the sleepy boy, survived. Lennox is a little baffled that Piers Morgan through him under the bus. Everyone tries to give Piers some crap. He won't have any of it.
The task this week: each team has to create a ad campaign for Dial soap that will run in Red Book Magazine. They will create a four page spread/photo essay. They will judges on three things: Creativity, integration of the brand, overall message and content. Each team will get a photographer and studio. Tito Ortiz will be the PM for Empresario. Carol Alt, because she's got modeling chops, will be the PM for Hydra. Both teams meet with the executives. One of the main aspects is connecting with the average Red Book reader. The average age of a reader is 37. It's for women too, obviously. Hydra has the right idea – simple, sexy, in tune with the older female. They want to make each page a great moment in a woman's life. Trace Adkins is told by the executives that the middle of the country is a big demo, and they love Trace. Stephen wants to take pics of Trace in a bathtub with women spraying Dial on him.
Hydra becomes aware that the models at their service are quite young. Piers is adamant that they should use Carol as their model. Carol is reticent, because she's also the PM. But, it is for an older demo, so Carol as the model makes sense. Empresario is being led by Stephen at the photo shoot. They're going with a cowboy theme – Trace with hot, scantily-clad cow girls.
Piers convinces Carol to be the model. She looks damn good for her age. Omarosa has the idea to have Trace in a picture with his shirt off. They want to appeal to women and apparently, a topless Trace is what they want. Trace is quite pale and even admits as much. He's not happy about it, but he does go in front of the camera with his guitar and sans shirt.
Hydra goes through with their photo shoots. The first shot is a topless Carol with a baby. Next, Carol with the soap. Third, it's Carol in a bath tub. Finally, the Money Shot. It's Carol naked in bed with a man over her. They worry they might be pushing the boundaries a bit. Carol is definitely in her element here.
Omarosa argues with her team about which photos to use. She doesn't like using the beautiful woman – she thinks the shirtless Trace will appeal to women a lot more. Tito has to decide.
Time for the presentations to the executives. Hydra goes first and Piers takes point. As always, he's a very, very good speaker. Not only are there pictures good, but the presentation is very good as well. The final page may be a problem. The man in Carol's bed looks like he's biting her. Empresario is up next. Omarosa runs point. Tito picks it up next, and he is not a very good public speaker. He fumbles over his words a lot. The pictures look pretty good though. The shirtless Traces did not make the cut, and Omarosa is not happy with the PM, Trace.
The teams head into the boardroom to hear the results. The teams are shown each other's campaigns. Trump wants to know what the teams think of each other. Piers rips into Empresario's photo shoot. It's kind of funny. Piers keeps ripping into it, much to the chagrin of Stephen,
Finally, the results. Donald Trump tells everyone that Hydra wins the competition. As they should have.
In the board room, Tito and Omarosa go at it. Tito says she urged him to be the PM, when this task should have been up O's alley – she has a marketing background, apparently. Trace speaks up and says that Tito should be the one to go home. He says that Stephen picked up the slack for Tito.
Donald Trump, in the right decision, fires Tito Ortiz. But, he loves Tito so much, he's going to give Tito's charity a bonus $50,000.
