With ratings for The Apprentice hemorrhaging, NBC and Donald Trump are getting desperate. That means it's time to shelve their dignity and start preparing for another season of The Celebrity Apprentice. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the Donald has landed La Toya Jackson, Star Jones and Mark McGrath to be part of the cast for the new season of The Celebrity Apprentice which will start filming in New York next week.

I'm sure any day now the official cast list will be announced, but for now let's quickly play The Celebrity Apprentice dream casting game. Much like they way DWTS often misrepresents the word "star", the "celebrities" on the The Celebrity Apprentice are few and far in between. The show serves more like an episode of Hollywood Squares than anything else. However, it's still pretty fun to watch. Either way, both shows aren't the best barometer of celebrity. If your favorite star or celebrity gets cast on either DWTS or The Celebrity Apprentice, don't call it a comeback.

We know that these types of shows won't soon land a George Clooney or a Meryl Streep, but there is a certain pool of celebs that would be chopping at the bit to head into Trump's boardroom. In seasons past The Celebrity Apprentice has cast out a very specific net that draws in certain, has-been celebrities. For this new season we already have: Sugar Ray leadsinger, Marc McGrath; member of famous family, La Toya Jackson; and whatever you want to call Star Jones. Now we just need to fill in the other gaps.

Here is who we'd hire if we were in charge of casting the new season of The Celebrity Apprentice. Remember, to do well on this show you have to have just the right amount of crazy mixed with a little delusion and a whole lot of charm. 

The reality TV star: Susan Boyle

The one-time popular actor: Scott Baio

The country star: Garth Brooks

The athlete: Johnny Weir

The mess up: Taylor Momsen

The rocker (McGrath doesn't count, the dude hosted Extra for crying out loud): Alice Cooper

The comedian: David Alan Grier

The famous for no reason: Kourtney Kardashian

The screw up in need of redemption: TIGER WOODS
