The Amazing Race is off to Kazakhstan on Sunday. The general public knows little about this large Asian country. The only reason anyone here knows about it is because of Sacha Baron Cohen and his famed Borat character. I suspect that the true Kazakhstan isn't exactly like it was depicted in the early moments of the Borat movie, though I could be wrong. CBS, hopefully, will do the country a favor with Sunday's episode of
The Amazing Race and maybe show us some of the highlights of that glorious nation, if there are highlights to be seen. We are down to five teams now on
The Amazing Race, and there is one team that, compared to the others, clearly does not belong. Might as well keep up with these predictions, as terrible as they've been for the last few weeks.
The Over/Under on Borat References is 6.5
And I'll take the over, if only because Frat Guys are involved. I'd like to see the unedited footage from this episode, just of
Andrew and Dan. Do you think they spoke like Borat the entire time? I'm saying yes. I doubt
Terence and Sarah have seen that movie, so they'll have no idea what or where Kazakhstan is, and all jokes will similarly be lost on Toni, though I'd like to see Dallas trying to explain to his mom what Borat is and why it's funny.
One of the Couples Will Go Boom!
It's getting near the end, tensions are high, and the teams are all solid. It would be a major embarrassment for any of the top four teams to fall behind Team Superbad next episode, which will only add to the stress level. Terence and Sarah are ripe for an explosion, and I'm really surprised it hasn't happened yet. However, it could very easily come from
Ken and Tina. They just completed an emotionally exhausting comeback in the last leg, and we know how much they can get on each other's nerves.
Andrew and Dan Will Be Eliminated
This has to be the week. Andrew and Dan only survived the last leg because of Ken and Tina's graciousness. They are over-matched by the other four teams, and starting in the back of the pack isn't going to do them any favors. I expect this next leg to be a rout. It won't be close.
