The Grounders left the 100 alone for the most part, but something has changed and they are on the attack. Finn's left near death from a stab wound. With tensions inside the 100's camp and a new threat from outside, will they be able to come together to survive?

At Wondercon, we caught up with Executive Producer Jason Rothenberg and stars Eliza Taylor, Lindsey Morgan, and Devon Bostick to get the scoop on what's coming up in the second half of season 1. The intensity is only going to increase.

Check out the video interviews and highlights below.

Executive Producer Jason Rothenberg and Eliza Taylor Interview

Highlights from the interview:

  • The rest of the season - "It's epic."
  • The show has been about whether the 100 can overcome the Lord of the Flies mentality in time to survive a coming external conflict.
  • In episode 6 & 7, the story shifts to focus on the Grounders.
  • The 100 find themselves in the middle of the war. They should fear the Grounders but that doesn't mean they're evil.
  • It's really a miscommunication. Two groups that don't know each other and are afraid and threatened by the other.
  • There are more similarities than differences between the 100 and the Grounders.
  • The Grounders think that the 100 are acting aggressively against them. Firing missiles into the air. They don't know the teens were trying to signal the Ark. They believe they are missiles.
  • The clues are there. The Grounder at the end of episode 5 is a warrior with weapons. He's fighting someone.
  • By the end of the season, "We know who the bad guys are, the worst guys are, and ... "
  • Rothenburg has always seen on the ground and on the Ark as one story. They are emotionally connected. The two sides will become more connected.
  • Clarke talks to Abby. Filming that scene was very emotional for her.
  • Clarke does realize that leadership means making tough choices. She becomes a stronger person for it.
  • Clarke's furious at her mother, but by the end of the season she may realize she's making similar decisions to her mother. They may reconcile.
  • In ep 7, she does something that's morally questionable. And it doesn't work.

Lindsey Morgan Interview

Highlights from the interview:

  • The priority is to get to the Ark and communicate with them.
  • They thought they succeeded with the flares, but that didn't work. They go back to the drawing board.
  • Raven is a good asset to the team. They have the pod now as a resource. The radio comes back into play.
  • Morgan wants Finn and Clarke together when she's watching.  She likes this triangle because it's very complicated. He never thought he'd see Raven again. It is upsetting that he moved on so quick.
  • Finn and Raven had been together their whole lives. They are all each other knows. They love each other, but may not still be "in love" with each other.
  • The triangle evolves slowly and it's complicated. Raven really likes Clarke and loves her mom.
  • Raven believes that Clarke is her friend. She doesn't want to hate Clarke and Clarke feels the same way. Clarke didn't know about Raven so she's not at fault.
  • In episode 7, "They share a mutual interest and that mutual interest is Finn."
  • Raven will find someone new to get over Finn.

Devon Bostick Interview

Highlights from the interview:

  • Jasper had a lot of PTSD after being speared, but his love for Octavia was enough to get him over it. That's why he went across the river in the first place.
  • Originally, Jasper was supposed to die from the spear. The character was too well loved to kill off.
  • Jasper and Monty do have more interactions coming up. There's some good bromance action coming.
  • Jasper is one of the minor characters so his backstory isn't covered too much, but his initial impression of Octavia was revealed.
  • Jasper is dealing with a lot of anger and a lot of fear. He's tired of being behind the walls and locked out. He lets a lot out in the search for Octavia.
  • "Octavia is a free soul and she's a wild girl. It's hard to lock one of those down especially when you're on Earth for the first time and you've got so much freedom. It's going to be a fun journey for Jasper to win her heart over. A struggle. A struggle and a painful one."
  • On the Ark, she was just an idea to him, but now he's one of 90. "Good odds."
The 100 airs on Wednesdays at 9 pm ET on The CW.
