Wilmer Valderrama as Fez on That 70s Show
American comedy actor Wilmer Valderrama was born on January 30, 1980 in Miami, Florida. His parents moved to Venezuela when he was three years old, and then to Los Angeles when he was thirteen. Wilmer Valderrama says he learned English from watching TV shows such as I Love Lucy, and took up drama classes in high school. He performed in plays like Rumors and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, before working on TV series such as Four Corners, Disney’s Omba Makamba, and the sitcom That 70’s Show. He also appeared in the movies Summer Catch and Party Monster, and currently produces and hosts the MTV show
Yo Momma .
Fez is portrayed by Wilmer Valderrama in the sitcom That 70’s Show. His friends consider his real name unpronounceable, so they dubbed him Fez, short for Foreign Exchange Student. His real name and his country of origin are running gags throughout the show, with neither of them ever being revealed and always getting drowned out by some random background noise each time he mentions them. He speaks with a weird accent, and claims to have Latin pride, Swiss frugality, and Jamaican fire (which turned out to be the brand of his cologne).
