The 25th season of Survivor coming this fall to CBS will be set in the Philippines, and it will be a nice departure from the recent format. The show will once again start with three tribes, which should help prevent the recent Pagonging trend where one tribe goes into the Merge with more members and demolishes the other side one-by-one, making the middle portion of the game incredibly boring.

But that's not the only twist. Each of the three tribes will get a former contestant on the show, someone who was removed from the show due to illness or injury.

Who will these people be? Well, it's not exactly a long list of potential castaways as only 10 people have been eliminated due to illness or injury over the first 24 seasons. Most interestingly, only one contestant from the first 11 seasons went out this way, and of the 10, only one is a woman.

The obvious question coming out of Survivor: One World is whether one, or both, of the removed contestants will come back. First there was Kourtney, who hurt herself on the very first challenge and had to go home. The poor girl didn't even get one Tribal Council, so I hope she gets to come back just for that (and because she's the only potential female returning castaway).

Season 24's other notable castaway is Colton. At the reunion, The Big Bang Theory co-star Mayim Bialik said she wanted Colton back, though the rest of the audience seemed strongly against the idea. If he gets a second chance, will he last longer than one day? I can't imagine anyone wanting to keep him around.

In the past, villains like Russell Hantz could try to provide a reason for keeping them because he understands the game and camp life. But Colton would add nothing to helping people survive or make shelter, he wouldn't help in challenges and he would only cause paranoia and drama. Still, he was such a lightning rod that Survivor will almost certainly bring him back.

Check out this list of the 10 castaways to be sent home due to injury or illness and decide for yourself which three should come back for Survivor: Philippines.
