Sekou Bunch was born on September 9, 1960. Prior to becoming a jazz musician and a recording artist, he pursued a lot of creative fields. In fact, he displayed his first painting at the Museum of Art in New York when he was just 7. He also did a lot of dance acts in local talent shows. As far as his professional career is concerned, he has already played and performed with notable artists like Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross, Wayne Shorter, and Paul Anka just to name a few.

Recently, he joined the reality show Survivor: Cook Islands (Season 13). Although very lazy, he was still perceived as a tribe leader. Unfortunately, he was the first one to be eliminated.
