Survivor: Tocantins - Episode 9 "The Biggest Fraud In The Game" Recap (Page 2/2)

Brendan stayed up all night thinking about how to get JT to the finals.  Wow, he's serious about getting JT the victory.  Brendan tells Sierra that they should join up with Taj, Stephen and JT and take out the other four original Timbirans.  Interesting.  Sierra's on board, saying that JT is one of the most amazing people she's ever met.  Brendan then explains the situation to Taj.  Taj isn't sure what to do, but she loves that all members of Timbira want to vote out their own.

Immunity Challenge

Each person is attached to a long rope and they have to maneuver through a series of obstacles.  The first three people to finish the first course compete in the second course.  It's a similar idea, except the final obstacles are three levels high.  Tyson and JT are dominating the ropes early.  Tyson is a nimble dude.  JT finishes first, followed soon after by Tyson. Brendan ekes it out versus Sierra for the last spot in the final heat.

Tyson gets off to an early lead in the finals, though JT is doing well.  Brendan makes a surge and takes the lead.  JT loses a lot of ground and is out of it.  Tyson takes the lead at the end, and wins immunity for the second time in a row.  After the challenge ends, Coach confidently tells the camera that Brendan will now be going home, that Brendan is the dragon and Coach the dragon slayer.  Whatever, dude.

"The Wizard is coming into the man of the mountain," Coach tells Stephen after Mr. Fishbach says he got the fire started on Exile.  Coach, shut up.

Brendan explains his plan to JT, who is totally into it.  JT tells Stephen about Brendan's plan.  The two discuss Coach's ridiculousness.  JT is completely in control right now.  He's still weighing his options, though.  He might side with Brendan, and he might side with Coach.  Brendan, to complete the ruse, talks with the original Timbirans who all "agree" to vote off JT.  This has set up for a great tribal council.

Tribal Council

The only person who has no idea what is going on is Erinn, I think.  Taj explains the story that Coach told about the natives who beat him.  Probst calls him out, and asks if all that stuff is really true.  Jeff is enjoying it, but Coach won't back down and says that, if anything, he's toned down his stories for the tribe.  What a joke.

Stephen plays it well at tribal, saying the only bright spot for him is that JT has a bigger target on his back.  Coach, for some unknown reason, cites the Vikings' Seven Layers of Heaven.  Brendan admits to having the hidden immunity idol.  Well, then.  It wasn't a very well kept secret anyways.  Time to vote.

Brendan Synnott has been voted out of Survivor: Tocantins.

Wow.  Look at that vote tally.  Exciting.  You have to wonder if JT was questioning Brendan's motives, which he probably shouldn't have.  And one of the immunity idols is now gone.  Sierra was shocked to see three votes written down for her.  This also means we have at least one more week of Coach in the game.  Stay tuned for our interview with Brendan Synnott tomorrow.
