Supernatural has taken a detour from the big, ongoing storyline of season 8 recently with episodes about LARPing, the Men of Letters and Nazis. But things get back on track in the next new episode, "Trial and Error."

Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

Young prophet Kevin Tran, who has been busy translating his half of the Demon Tablet, finally has the answer, but it doesn't come without a cost.

In this new clip, Sam and Dean show up to find a very sick Kevin. He's in pretty bad shape, but it was all worth it, because he finally figured out how to close the Gates of Hell. The best part is when Dean suggests a very unnatural remedy to Kevin's ailments.

In the episode, Sam and Dean will learn that, in order to close the Gates of Hell, one of them must perform three tests designed by God, one of which is killing a Hellhound. That's right, those nasty, invisible pooches are back.

The boys have a troubled history with Hellhounds. They attacked Dean and dragged him to Hell at the end of season 3. They were responsible for Ellen and Jo's deaths in season 5. Most recently they've been taken down by Crowley's own pet Hellhound and by Meg wielding an angel-killing knife.

Supernatural airs Wednesday at 9pm on the CW.
