This year Supernatural
is trying something different with its
first ever two-hour season finale. Technically, the two hours are
different episodes with different titles and authors (new showrunner
Sera Gamble wrote the first hour, creator Eric Kripke wrote the second).
But both hours will air from 8pm-10pm on Friday, May 20, giving fans
their first ever dose of back-to-back Winchesters.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
So what will the finale have in store? Pretty much everything you might expect. The wall in Sam's head plays a major role, the war in Heaven reaches a climax and Lisa and Ben return.
First up, here's the official episode description for the first hour, "Let It Bleed.""A demon kidnaps Ben and Lisa to get to Dean. Sam and Dean are forced to join with an unlikely ally to free them."
Could Ben and/or Lisa get killed off? Anything's possible, but I'm more interested in finding out who the unlikely ally is. My best two guesses would be the Mother of All or Raphael.
Next, here's the description for the finale (aka the first episode Eric Kripke has written since last season's finale), "The Man Who Knew Too Much.""The wall comes down in Sam's head and all hell breaks loose. Dean and Bobby are, for once, at a total loss on how to help him and are forced to stand by and do nothing while Sam breaks. The battle for heaven comes to a head."
If that's what they'll give away in the press release, imagine what we'll actually get to see. We all knew the wall in Sam's head wouldn't be up forever, and I like that it sounds like the wall coming down isn't going to be a season-ending cliffhanger, but rather the start of the season finale. I imagine the war in Heaven will connect to the wall, possibly using Sam's soul as a weapon.
With Sam, Lisa and Ben all in serious danger, the Supernatural
season 6 finale is going to be a rollercoaster ride for two straight hours.Supernatural
