State of Mind, a new Lifetime Original Series which explores subjects of love, death, family, friends and work through the world of a brilliant shrink.
State of Mind follows the professional and personal life of Dr. Ann Bellowes. Although she works as a therapist, she seems to be rivaling her offbeat patients with her numerous personal problems, including her cheating husband. To complicate the plot, she isn't the only shrink enduring life's woes since all of her colleagues also have their own share of dilemmas.

Leading the dramedy is actress
Lili Taylor as Dr. Ann Bellowes, the take-charge therapist who works at the New Haven Psychiatric Associates. This 40-year old actress is known for role as Lisa Kimmel Fisher on HBO's
Six Feet Under. She has worked in many movies like
Ransom, The Haunting, Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle, Born on the Fourth of July, and
High Fidelity to name a few.
Joining the cast is
Derek Riddell as James Le Croix, Ann's colleague who is described as an eccentric child psychiatrist with unconventional treatment methods. Riddell is known for his role as Dr. Jamie Patterson on the television series
No Angels. He has also appeared on shows like
Doctor Who,
Clocking Off, and
Urban Gothic.
Playing the role of Cordelia Banks, a therapist who has a secret office affair with the married Dr. Taj Kalid and sees her clients in-between Internet shopping sprees, is actress
Theresa Randle. Randle's acting credits include
Bad Boys, Girl 6, Sugar Hill, and Space Jam.
Mido Hamada stars as Dr. Taj Kalid, the highly regarded yet sarcastic office manager who has a secret affair with Cordelia. Hamada has starred in Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow and has appeared on Spooks, and Transit.
Playing the role of the office snoop Fred Smedresman is actor Kevin Chamberlin. This actor has appeared on television series such as Twenty Good Years, CSI: NY, and Crossing Jordan among others.
Portraying Barry White, the newly minted lawyer who serves as Ann's husband's replacement in the office, is actor Devon Gummersall. On television, he has been on shows like 24, Monk, Without A Trace and Tru Calling.
