Sons of Anarchy won't kick off until the fall but fans are already hungry for teasers on the seventh season, and, if the latest round of news is any indication, it looks like the final season will be very interesting.
Sons of Anarchy is available on Amazon Prime.
Courtney Love Joins Season 7
According to TV Line
, Charming will make room for musician Courtney Love, who will play Ms. Harrison, the pre-school teacher of Jax's eldest son, Abel. She will reportedly have a pivotal, multi-episode arc as her character takes a special interest in Abel, beginning in episode 4.
This marks Love's TV acting debut. The frontwoman of the band Hole, who is also known for her controversial marriage to rocker Kurt Cobain, has previously appeared in films like The People vs. Larry Flynt, 200 Cigarettes, Man on the Moon and Beat.
Walton Goggins To Return as Venus
Series creator Kurt Sutter himself has confirmed
that Walton Goggins, best known for playing Shane Vendrell on The Shield
and most recently as Boyd Crowder on Justified
, will be reprising his role as Venus Van Dam, the transsexual prostitute who first appeared in season 5. Venus returned in season 6 where she revealed her dark past while trying to save her son, with the help of SAMCRO, from her mother's clutches. While nothing else has been revealed about the return of Venus, it will be interesting to see a well-received character back in Charming and how her return will affect Tig (Kim Coates), who shares a special bond with her.
First Look at Season 7
Meanwhile, FX has released the first trailer of the final season of Sons of Anarchy. The promo is entitled "Hell Awaits" and lasts only 20 seconds but it certainly feels like a foreshadowing of things to come. It features Jax riding a motorcycle in a long and dimly lit road while his face transforms to a skull and back again. Does this mean Jax is about to face death or is Jax is the Grim Reaper himself?
Sons of Anarchy season 7 premieres in September on FX.
