So You Think You Can Dance dipped slightly last night, facing some heavy competition from game 7 of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals, which aired during its timeslot.

After several weeks of auditions, followed by some eliminations, FOX's SYTYCD finally moved on to the competition portion of the season, with the top 20 performing dances to vie for coveted top 10 spots. SYTYCD was down 7% versus last Wednesday's episode, with 7.8 million viewers. It was just barely edged out by the NHL Stanley Cup Finals.

On NBC, game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals had 8.33 million viewers.
