So You Think You Can Dance Season 4:Top 10 Females Power Rankings
So You Think You Can Dance Season 4:Top 10 Females Power Rankings
Sometimes, I forgot there are even females on So You Think You Can Dance this season.  The show has been so focused on its male dancers and have hardly given its females any camera time.  Especially in the audition rounds, it seemed that the ratio was 2 or 3 men for every woman showed.  Nevertheless, the judges put 10 females through and they are now power ranked on BuddyTV.  In these early weeks, there are so many factors that affect whether a dancer stays or goes.  With many of these females not forming a relationship with the viewers early on, they'll have to step it up big time on tomorrow night's live performance show.  Others have to win over viewers while some just need a solid male partner to advance.  Read on, see what you think, and post your thoughts!

10. Katee Shean

It’s unfortunate sometimes that personality has to count for something because Katee Shean is a really great dancer. She went and opened her mouth, though, at the Vegas callback and said that she would not return if she did not make the top 20. At the young age of 19, it really rubbed Mia Michaels the wrong way that she would give up so easily. She’ll have to work pretty hard to redeem herself this week and grab some votes.

9. Susie Garcia

Ugh, Susie. I’ll admit that she’s a talented dancer but there’s nothing young or fresh about her. She looks a little bit like a glorified stripper sometimes and it’s really hard to believe she’s a high school teacher. Sex sells but it can’t be the only thing she brings to the table. She’ll need to class it up for the ballroom numbers or she’ll be heading back to class sooner than she might like.

8. Rayven Armijo

Raven and Jessica and in a tough situation. There isn’t an audition video of them anywhere online. Viewers have not gotten to know them at all. They may be great dancers but I wouldn’t know that because all I got was a 2 second clip when they made the top 20. They’ll have to make a strong impression this week and quickly reel in viewers before becoming forgettable.

7. Jessica King

See above.

6. Kherington Payne

I want to like Kherington, I really do. It’s not that she’s not a great dancer – it’s that she doesn’t bring anything new to the table. I can’t pick up and vote for her because she’s pretty and she rolled around on the floor and played up her sexuality during her solo. I can’t. That doesn’t mean others won’t. She’ll hang around for a while. I just like girls who bring more to the table.

5. Kourtni Lind

Kourtni is a powerful dancer and one that I expect will do well in the hip hop genre. She’s got a fire about her that I think many of the female dancers lack this season, which should make her interesting to watch.

4. Chelsea Traille

Even though I haven’t seen that much of Chelsea Traille this season, I like her. So You Think You Can Dance has only given us seconds of her dancing but I definitely want to see more. She’s got a great energy about her and combined with some serious dance ability, that should carry her far this season.

3. Comfort Fedoke

I know I ranked her friend Joshua low this season but I just think that Comfort will do better. She was part of the group (the good one) in Vegas that performed “Every Breath You Take”. She did struggle with ballroom but I believe that Comfort is a survivor and won’t rest until she perfects each genre of dance.

2. Chelsie Hightower

Chelsie is an outstanding ballroom dancer, one who, at times, is very reminiscent of last season’s Lacey Scwimmer. Lacey was one of my favorite dancers, able to perfect any style of dance. I have faith in Chelsie to deliver big time this season and perhaps, like Lacey, make it all the way to final four.

1. Courtney Galiano

Coutney is my favorite female dancer this season because she’s a total package. She’s pretty, she’s got a great personality, and she’s a superb technical dancer. She did get a good amount of camera time in the audition round which should give her an advantage early on. Courtney should have no trouble sailing through the first few rounds unless she’s paired with a weak male dancer. Let’s hope that’s not the case!
