It's Thursday again, and you know what that means: one more guy and one more girl must be eliminated from the competition on
So You Think You Can Dance.
Tonight's results show featured the dance crew known as Quest, a hip hop group that counts among its members
So You Think You Can Dance's own
Hok Konishi,
Dominic Sandoval and
Ryan Conferido. They were joined by live musical guest
Jordin Sparks, of
American Idol, singing "One Step At a Time."
But which of the top 16 dancers found themselves in the bottom three? And which two were sent home? Read on to find out.
Here were the three girls who danced for their lives.
Comfort Fedoke
Comfort has been carrying her partner Chris for several weeks now. She danced a hip hop solo to a Mary J. Blige song, and performed well enough to escape the chopping block.
Kourtni Lind
This is the second time for ontemporary dancer Kourtni to be in the bottom three. She has a unique look, despite being one of a bazillion contemporary dancers. Perhaps this is why the judges saved her tonight. She will live to dance for at least one more week.
Chelsea Traille
I thought Chelsea danced the strongest solo tonight – it was quite apparent that she thought and worked hard to make it an outstanding solo – so I was completely shocked when the Nigel called for her ouster. We'll never know if she would have made if farther had she been paired with a stronger partner than Thayne. I'm certainly sad to see her go.
And now, here are the bottom three boys.
Thayne Jasperson
Thayne didn't dance a fantastic solo, but he might have saved himself by dancing to Bon Jovi's "Always."
Matt Dorame
Nigel and Co. have been harping on Matt for weeks now to improve be more emotional while dancing and not be so uptight and all about technique. He took all of their advice to heart and danced a very strong solo. His technique was amazing, as usual, but he also showed the beginnings of a spark of passion.
Chris Jarosz
BuddyTV readers have been calling for Chris' head on a platter ever since this season of
So You Think You Can Dance began. Well, finally, we have gotten our wish. So long, Chris! OK, but really, he's probably a really nice guy and he's not a bad dancer. It's just that there were so many other great and more likeable dancers who could have taken his place.
Who had the best solo tonight?
