Is contemporary choreographer Mia Michaels leaving So You Think You Can Dance?

Checking her Twitter page tonight, it would seem that is the sad sad case. Mia has just posted her first tweets since August and the rapid succession tweets do not bode well. Take a look and judge for yourself.

If this is true, and indeed she is going, then that is perhaps one of the most unfortunate things to happen on the show.  I've seen her routines and it's a shame this season's Top 20 won't get a chance to experience her talent and intensity--and us, the folks at home, won't get a chance to experience it all over again.

Then again, judging from an interview she had with the Los Angeles Times recently, it seems that's where things are going.  She said that she had mixed feelings with the last season, and claimed that she "wasn't completely inspired".  So maybe this means she'll be shutting off for now to regain her creative juices?
